I hope this helps: It DOES work, however in some places-like your bikini line-where the hair tends to lay flat you need to pull the skin extra tigh otherwise it hurts even more.

It causes pain. Not unbearable but it's painful.

It can be better than waxing as the hair can be quite short.

If this is done in the bathroom, it looks like a gorilla has been visiting.

Smaller option but just as powerful, 7 Sept. 2015

The Philips HP6423/02 Satinelle Legs and Body Epilator with Shaving Head is one of the lower end of the Philips Satinelle Legs and Body Epilators, although that doesn't make it any less powerful. Here are a few differences from some of the other higher end in the same range:

^^ This is a smaller epilator, which means it is quite a good size to pop into a travel bag to take away with you.

^^ The number of the tweezing discs is 20 - this is the same for many of the other versions up to the top of the range (and more expensive) HP6581/03 option.

^^ The HP6423/02 only works when it is plugged in, and cannot be charged.

^^ Comes with a shaver head and trimmer attachment, cleaning brush and carry bag. There are no extras like skin tautening attachments and light up tweezers, but to be honest you don't really need these. Just stretch and tighten the skin with your other hand as you use this.

Whilst Braun are seen as the leaders in the silk-epil field Philips also produce epilators and they are every bit as good.

This is a brilliant epilator - it removes all hairs above 0.5mm (that's the size of a grain of sand) and this one has the added benefit for an integrated razor - for those parts that you don't want the hair removed completely but rather trimmed and groomed. There are two speeds for the epilation so that you can choose what setting suits you.

The secret they say to epilation is to moisturise afterwards. Personally I say the secret to epilation is to hold your skin taut and to exfoliate. This means that hairs are not trapped by dead skin and that hairs are as long as possible for epilation. However moisturising after epilation is important.

Included in this set is a pouch travel bag so that you can keep the unit and the interchangeable shaver and trimmer together and a brush so that you can clear the epilator of any residual...
