Bad quality for an Avent product, 22 Aug. 2013

This is a very over priced product for the quality it offers. I've tried other Avent products and they are not that bad, but this one is really disappointing (and annoying!). First of all, the shape of the parent unit is not convenient at all, so it tips over most of the times even when placed on a flat surface (its base is much too small to hold its weight). Also the lights on it are barely visible, unless you are standing straight in front of them. If you are at a side doing your chores and want to check on it, you cannot do so, because you cannot tell if the unit is on or off. Then the senitivity is very low and if there's any background noise (like when cooking in the kitchen), then you cannot hear if the baby is crying at all. Most of the times, the blue lights are the ones that warned me rather than the noise itself. Even in a quiet environment, many times I could hear the baby crying first by myself rather than throught the unit! Very low senisitivity even when set at the...

I am using this monitor with my 4 year daughter, and it is been a great help at night, to talk to her without getting out of bed.
