This really is a truly well thought out, fabulous monitor. I've just replaced my very out dated old-school monitors that simply plugged in and you could hear sound and that was it - no other features so as you can imagine I couldn't be more excited and impressed with this product!

Despite being very advanced this is easy and fool proof to use - virtually no set up required - you can use almost instantly. The screen is easy to read and the monitor is portable and when fully charged this will last for around 2 nights use before needing another charge but we tend to keep it on the charging base so it's always full.

The signal has a very good range - even in the garden it's still surprisingly clear so perfect for use during barbecues or outdoor parties when you can't always be in the house all of the time while baby is napping. You can also use the talk back button so if baby stirs you can reassure them verbally or even sing to them if you can't get there right away...

Great monitor. Easy to set up. Crystal clear sound and picks up even the slightest noise baby makes, although you can also set it to only switch on when a certain sound level is reached, if you prefer that. It's got tons of features incl temoerature and humidty gauges, lullabies and a star light ceiling projector, which are all customisable, i.e. a timer for the "entertainment" and alarm functions you can set for the temperature. It's therefore several gadgets in ine and if you're like us, has more features and settings you will ecer use. Everything is controllable from the parent unit. The baby unit takes batteries, so can be used off the mains. The unit doesn't have a charge function though, as the batteries are intended only as back up in case of power outages - the parent unit is rechargeable. Personally I'd like to see a recharge function on the baby unit too, so it's fully portabke like the oarent unit - hence only 4 stars. We bought some rechargeable batteries and found...

Overall an excellent monitor with a variety of great features.However, there is some misleading information in the description:(a) The batteries in the parent unit are 2AA rechargable batteries, and not a Li-on battery as listed and(b)The monitor did not come with a travel case as listed in the features.
