Good points: Shaver itself is good. Decent shave (much better than a foil shaver), easy to hold, easy to clean with the brush. Shaver is mains only, but still works off a transformer, meaning that it is using low voltage so safer. Philips say you can even clean it under running water, but I found that was a mistake as it didn't try out before I wanted to use it again.
Bad points: The main issue is the supplied mains transformer, which is a poor quality one made in the Far East. Ominous creaking sounds from the plastic case as it is plugged in, and worse, unstable supplied voltage leading to the shaver speed varying - it even stopped completely once. Transformer is clearly unable to supply the required amount of current. I replaced it with one I bought for about £4 on EBay, and the shaver now works very well.
One more minor point is that the shaver does not have a trimmer for sideburns.
