Are you looking for a Beard Trimmer., 5 April 2013

Having had my last shaver for nearly 7 years, it was time to replace it.

Having spend a long time looking for a beard trimmer, I became fed up of finding all these all in one type products that tend to be priced between 15 and 35 pounds.

I am sure these products are being purchased by customers, however I am not sure if they are getting used. I did contemplate this type of trimmer, however most reviews mention 'bad battery life', 'low quality of additional bits' ext. I therefore stayed well away.

Having looked at the Philips website to find out what trimmer type products they offered a came across this and the Mk60 and quickly found them to be what I was looking for and it certainly is.

This trimmer has all that you need and it works properly, which is why i have given it 5*, but would have give it 41/2* if I could have.

Haven't had chance to use the foil shaver, but the beard trimmer is one of the best I've used. It's taken me nearly 10 years to find the right device and this really does the trick. Comfortable in hand, smooth shave, plenty of variation in length and a good battery life. Thanks Philips, this one's a gem!

An "ok" all-rounder for £35., 29 Oct. 2015

Being Philips I was hoping for something better than an "ok" all-rounder but sadly this isn't. The main let down is the shaver head which will give an adequate shave but with double the effort of my old Remington. There's a newer, much more expensive model of this which emphasises it's improved, sharper blades, so I guess Philips know this model has this issue. Annoying because this isn't exactly brain surgery! To be fair, it will munch it's way through 3 or 4 day stubble if necessary.

The beard trimmer is pretty good but the weird shape of the comb makes it difficult to get right up under your nose. I haven't worked out why it's shaped this way yet!

I've been using this for a few months now and battery life still gives at least a week's worth of shaves and a couple of beard trims per full charge. If I was travelling a lot, this would be very handy compared to carrying a separate shaver and trimmer.

The last time I checked, replacement shaver blades/foils...
