Would of probably given up breast feeding if it were not for these!, 6 Dec. 2011

I was two weeks into feeding my newborn, and suffering from sore and cracked nipples. We had just about mastered feeding however found my nipples would not heal, and found them to chaff while walking. My auntie dropped these shells around and they worked for me just to allow my nipples to heal and let the air circulate around them. I never used the milk afterwards, which may seem a waste, but I wasn't regimented enough with the sterilser, and I also wore both types around the house. This did result in the odd spillage but I never used them when I went out, I wore nursing pads when out as it made you feel a little more normal. I saved a fortune on nursing pads in the early day's when I was leaking everywhere. I also used Lansinoh cream and these prevent greasy marks on clothes. I am now six months into breastfeeding and after the first month has found it a breeze, these were a lifesaver!

I have mainly used the un-vented shells. I use them at night they do not leak, easy to empty and comfortable to wear.

Fantastic, especially for the first days, 10 Feb. 2015

The shells are brilliant, particularly for the first weeks when milk is leaking all the time. You can save the milk if you sterilise the shells beforehand. They are not particularly discrete I didn't find and I wouldn't have dared to wear them out and about.
