I have bought this teether for my 4 months old daughter who is constantly sucking her fingers. I did not buy it because of the soothing effect during teething, its more like a toy than a soother for her....She loves it....The only issue i have had is when I clean it, the water runs into the middle of the teether and stays there, so I need to wait days until it dries out properly....But it is not a big deal since we have to wash it every day anyway.

my daughter does not chew it at all, she shakes it as it works as a rattle too. she threw it out from the buggy a couple of times and it seems that the material it is made from is very much vulnerable.
