Simple and effective child safety locks, 1 Nov. 2016

There comes a point when babies become toddlers and start to explore their surroundings.

My toddler has a fascination with draws and cupboards and has to open them and explore the contents whenever your back is turned.

As a parent I cannot be watching 24/7 so I have to make sure that dangerous items are kept somewhere a child cannot access.

I bought my first magnetic lock almost 20 years ago, but then I had trouble finding them again and now I have found them available once more.

The principle is simple, the latch on the back of the door hooks onto a small plate stopping the door from opening. If a magnet is placed on the door in the correct position the latch retracts and the door can be opened. If necessary the lock mechanism can be disabled manually.

These locks take minutes to fit but work so well. No external sign of the lock, no messy holes need to be drilled (they can be stuck on...

they're pretty easy to remove and the kid hasn't figured out ..., 30 Oct. 2016

Works as advertised, though I ended up marking the outside of the locking mechanism with a sharpie; before that, I was constantly sliding the locking mechanism on backwards. Marking the correct side with a sharpie prevented that from happening again. They are very secure. But while they keep the kids out, they are a pain if you have to take them off and put them back on frequently. They fit the cabinets, they're pretty easy to remove and the kid hasn't figured out how to remove them. That's all I need.

These safety locks are great for households with very inquisitive kids. Mine is just like that and gets into all cupboards no matter how i try to stop him.These very handy locks stop him. Although he gets frustrated but id rather know hes not upto no good hehe. You can however still open them with the magnetic key they provide you with!These have sticky back so no screws needed which means they can be taken off easily without damaging your furniture. Upon opening the package you get the sticky pads connected to all pieces, 1 lock key with base mount and 4 attatchable locks.To apply simply measure up how they will go on and follow the pictures as its really that easy making sure there all the right way around. 🙃🙃🙃I recieved this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
