Great syringe for the price, 25 May 2010

Bought this syringe due to my health centre not being helpful about ear syringing any more so ordered it and it was delivered within five days from the states, it was identical to the ones used by my own doctor.No instructions but i knew what to do after having had my ears syringed every year for the last twenty years, put warm water in it and after two goes my ears were perfect so no more hassle at the health centre and ears back to full volume.

I had been trying to clear my ear with the appropriate ear stuff and oil but without success. I used this syringe and it worked eventually with a lot of wax coming out in long soft strands. What you have to do is use it several times with warm water and not give up. It requires a pressure which starts slow and speeds up to an acceptable level for you. My husband was doing it for me and when it was finished he said that the ear which had been cleared had a smaller opening than the other ear! So I now accept that I will have to clear this ear out more often and not let it clog up - it should be easier to keep clear with this syringe. Good instrument but be patient!

as an ex nurse practitioner I found the syringe easy to use but it is important that anyone who has not had experience to be advised to direct the nozzle upwards in the ear canal and not directly at the ear drum to avoid perforation glad to say I no longer have to shout at my husband to enable him to hear me
