Very good shaving cream, 2 Aug. 2015

.This is a very good shaving soap, which gives a very 'rich' and smooth consistency lather. A product that in turn helps to create a close and comfortable shave, as it ensures an effective lathering, which softens up the beard, or stubble, when used in conjunction with a good decent natural bristle brush – as the brush has the ability to absorb hot water during the shaving process. It smells great and feels refreshing - it has a real feel of quality about the item.For those that may not know that Parabens Free:Refers to the most widely used preservatives in personal care products; they stop fungus, bacteria and other microbes from growing in your favourite creams and makeup, especially in the moist, warm environment of a bathroom. There has been some debate about how some these preservatives are harmful to human health.I am very impressed with this quality product and have no hesitation in recommending it..

My favourite scented shaving foam, Sandalwood, 13 Aug. 2015

This is really a nice shaving cream to use. The container is a nice black pot with a screw on lid, the same as Taylor of Old Bond Street but a different colour. These are also great when empty to store various small bits in.Only a small amount of the cream is needed on the tips of a wet brush to produce a lot of lather in a shave bowl (or in my case a large cup). It does not take a lot of work to get the lather to a good consistency as it is a cream, unlike a soap where a little more work is needed. It spreads over the face nicely, the razor glides over with no nicks, and when rinsed, the smell of sandalwood is still present – fantastic.My current cupboard consists of Crabtree and Evelyn (soap), Taylor of Old Bond Street (cream) and Arko (soap), and have tried many more. I will now add this to my preferred choice and will be buying more when stocks are depleted.

Piccadilly Sandalwood Shaving Cream, 4 Aug. 2015

This Picadilly Sandlewood Shaving Cream is a lovely fragranced soap that creates a thick and luxurious lather when shaving.

I have used numerous shaving soaps in the past from the likes of Proraso, Colonel Conk (my favourite up until now) and Taylors and I have to say this is easily one of the best.

This lathers up very quickly and smoothly and applies to the face easily. Like with the Proraso soaps it has a tendency to dry out on the face if it is not moist enough and I would suggest lathering up with more water than you usually would to help with razor glide.

I tried this with my Feather Straight Razor and my DE Razor and it felt great with both. Again, like with the Proraso soap I have used in the past, this soap tended to ‘gum’ up the DE razor a little and it took some loosening of the screw and light cleaning mid-way through to keep things going smoothly. Again, I think mixing with more water would help with this and it always takes...
