I bought this as a cutlery set for my 2 year old. A friend had given me the pale blue spotty ones as a gift, and one set it just not enough. These are ideal for toddlers who are learning to cut their food. The knife is serrated enough so that it actually works (unlike most which are too dull to even spread butter), they are weighted beautifully so that they are easy to manage and the handles are just the right size for little hands. The prongs of the forks are also sharp enough to spear food properly without being sharp enough to cause accidental damage if used incorrectly (kids find all manner of uses for cutlery).As I said, it's a cutlery set for kids that works. Most toddler sets look the part, but you may as well just hand your child 3 spoons for all the good they do.Highly recommend these, in fact I'm buying sets for all my nieces and nephews too.

cutlery designed for little hands, 12 Jun. 2010

I bought this set because I was looking for a child's size version of cutlery. A lot of children's cutlery have forks that are not the same shape as full sized versions. I don't think that is any help to someone learning to eat properly. Thankfully these are perfect, and my son loves his, so I can see I will be buying another set for when my daughter is also old enough to eat on her own!

This is a great follow on cutlery set from the baby spoons and forks. The wider plastic handles make them much easier to grip for small hands, and the knife has a small serated area which means that it will actually cut food but not the child, very good quality product.
