Avoid the cream ones!, 18 July 2016

Bought these to put in my daughter's room to replace the blackout roller we had in there. (Got off white).

These feel well made and the material is good too.

However, I bought these as I specifically wanted blackout curtains. These curtains do not blackout light any better than curtains you can pick up from bargain basement shops.

Even the dim street lights shine through these. The first day of installation, the sun doesn't go down until very late which kept my daughter awake until I reinstalled my old blackout roller for her to go to sleep.

Doesn't seem like 99% light blocking to me at all like advertised. The sun sets on the other side of the house as well!

In addition to that, as these are quite lightweight, any breeze from an open window will blow these about quite easily.

Returning these. Shouldn't be advertised as blackout if they don't.

UPDATE

Ponydance sent me some red ones instead which do...

Excellent curtains!, 21 Aug. 2016
I was surprised by the quality! They are really good, nice and soft material too and definitely block out the light! I got the blue ones and I am surprised that they block out more light than my previous curtains that had extra blackout lining too! Definitely recommend!

The perfect set of curtains! (^^,), 23 May 2016
Absolutely perfect! After nervously measuring my awkward window a dozen times; these curtains were the closest to matching my dimensions. Because of a bad DIY job from previous tenants in hanging a curtain pole (and instructions from the landlord to use the existing one and not hang a new one); I wasn't sure I would find curtains with dimensions that would be suitable enough! After a lot of consideration; I went with these ones, even though my Windows were slightly wider in width (as you know you measure width with just one of the curtain panes); so was nervous it wouldn't be a good enough fit. Turns out they were absolutely perfect; absolutely chuffed with these curtains; they look like good quality; are a rich royal/ navy blue and keep the sound and light out just as described. Worth every single penny; and I'm glad I went with these in the end. Best buy in ages! :)
