I purchased this product for a specific application where the stool will be used indoors daily on a carpeted floor. Ideal height (250mm), stability - not easily toppled, adequate platform size for my (male) size 11 shoes and a non-slip platform surface were my main considerations. I was disappointed in the last of these safety aspects in that the platform surface is composed of a hard plastic, ribbed, not made of rubber as stated in the seller's description. The caps fitted to the legs are also hard plastic. Intending purchasers should be aware that the seller stipulates a maximum weight (load) of 80kg (12st. 7lbs). Although constructed of steel tubing with a pressed steel platform, which might suggest great strength, joints are welded with four welds joining the platform to the legs. Here, tearing might occur if the stool should be excessively overloaded. The platform dimensions are 360 x 240mm and the weight of the stool is 2kg approx.

does the job but be careful on slippery surfaces., 14 Jan. 2013
It's a good, sturdy step stool and it helps me reach the top shelves in my kitchen cupboard, which is what I bought it for; however I have tile in my kitchen and the legs of this step do not have adequate rubber grips. I find that I have to be very careful not to cause the stool to slip out from under me, and as such I wouldn't advise buying this for kids (who might not be so careful).

my elderly mum was after a little stool to standon to reach kitchen cupboards etc. I originally bought the eezee fold up step stool but mum didnt feel safe on it so bought this instead. great little stool, feels strong and secure. thanks
