Arrived on time but wasn't without issues - 2 minor and 2 major:
Minor:
- Some of the decoration was scratched, not a big deal, just a little irritating
- There was a sizeable chunk of the left side panel surface missing which had been touched up with a non-matching white paint.
Major:
- The bed had a VERY strong smell of lacquer, many of which are extremely toxic to inhalation. While it isn't actually made with a lacquered finish; , this had clearly picked up more than its share from the manufacturing environment. Given that this bed is intended for young kids, having it smell of toxic substances is not good. We had to spend several hours cleaning and re-cleaning all the white surfaces to get rid of the smell.
- The harware, fixings and brackets were a very low specification. The most serious failure was an extremely sharp burr on one of the main support brackets at the head end of the bed. It was easily sharp enough to cut skin and so posed...
