Very pleased, superglue fixed the problems others have raised!, 1 Sept. 2015

Having read loads of the reviews on this product I was in 2 minds about how good I thought it might be but decided to give it a go. I'm really pleased I did!

I ordered the 'grey' but would really describe it as a beige colour (just like the picture shows it) which is perfect for me as we have a creamy/beige marble fireplace.

OK, so to address the issues other people have raised:

Yes, the corner pieces are about 5mm wider then the straight edges (which is very annoying). To get round this and make it look good I just superglued the pieces together. Because it's foam it's really quite simple to manipulate (slightly stretch the straight pieces and slightly squish the corner pieces) so they actually all look the same size now! I measured it all up, marked it with a pencil and easily cut it with scissors (they need to be sharp to get a good finish). Strong adhesive, very cushioned, 15 Feb. 2010

Really happy with these fireplace guards, the adhesive tape seems to be really strong (the corner guards for our table our 9 month old pulled off in less than 10 seconds). Very cushioned, we now feel a lot safer when he is playing near the fireplace.
