An excellent product, but for the price I'd expect nothing less., 14 July 2007

I can't really add too much to the "manufacturer's description" which I consider to be fair and accurate. The guards really are very chunky and without a ruler to hand I'd guess they are about 1cm thick. However you can still cut them easily with a decent pair of scissors so they are easy to fit and should you so wish you could easily make your own corner guards. My son hasn't had the misfortune to really test them yet but they look and feel like they'll do the job they were designed for exceptionally well.Drawbacks? Well we aren't talking unobtrusive here. However the guards are quite neatly shaped so I don't find them unattractive in their way.So yes this is an excellent product, but at seventeen quid for four eighteen inch lengths I'd expect nothing less. The price does seem rather excessive.

ugly but necessary, 15 Sept. 2009

myself and a friend have this, and i'm afraid to say that they both look dreadful, you have to cut it to make it fit, and there is no way of cutting it neatly so you are left with big gaps in the middle, also in two strange lengths so it doesn't fit all the way on both sides, also getting corners just right is not easy, i have one side that looks ok and one that looks appaling, but i is just soft enough to stop klonks to heads which it has, in fact its paid for itself in that respect, lots of falling babies heads have been saved, but should be longer and more designed for purpose!

I use this for a VERY sharp table we have, if a child was to hit it's face or head there would defo be a trip to casualty required, so this along the edges saved us from replacing the dining table. It's brown so they blend in and they are so padded and soft that I don't have any fears now for my son. If he was younger, I'd buy this stuff again and kit my house out with it, lol, but seriously, a must have for people with babies who are about to start walking.
