We were so excited about this product when we stumbled across it at the baby and toddler show, on paper it ticked every box and ended what had been a very long search for a solution. We needed something that would sit close to our bed, but be raised higher to prevent a curious cat and overly excitable dog from peering in, we also loved the purflo ethos, and the peace of mind that it brought in terms of breathability. It also looks great, so a win in all aspects.
Assembly was extremely easy, the instructions were simple to follow and it didn't take long for me to have set up by myself. Everything seemed fab until I pulled out the mattress the bassinet had come with, it was so thin the metal bars that ran across the base, holding the sides of the bassinet in place, could clearly be felt through it, making an extremely uncomfortable surface to lie on. I managed to pick up one of these Moses Baskets at the Baby Show in Sandown for the great price of £100. I was most attracted to the neutral look of the Bassinet and also that it included the stand and the little songs and music light. Also I liked it because of the height, I was due to have a planned C-Section and knew that bending in to a crib would be difficult in the early days.
Our gorgeous baby girl has since arrived and I have used the basket for 2 months now. I love the fact the hood doesn't fall down as well as the lovely soft material. The height was a godsend after my section and also for my husband who is over 6 foot. I don't tend to use the music function but the little light has been really useful to check on her without having to turn on a light or shine my phone torch in her face!
I have given 4 stars purely because of the mattress which is a bit on the thin side. I did however call up their customer service and we was sent an additional mattress...
