They changed the formula at the beginning of 2012; the new formula isn't very good, 3 April 2012

All over the web, you will find 5-star reviews of All Soft. However, please note that those reviews are based on a formula they don't use anymore.

Redken changed the All Soft shampoo and conditioner formulas around the beginning of 2012 -- the new formula has argan oil in it and is pretty different to the old formula.

For some reason, they made this change without much fanfare, and many salons that sell it online still have photos of the old bottles and the old ingredient lists -- I ordered some last week from a salon that didn't even know themselves that what they had on their shelves was the new formula until I contacted them to return what I had ordered because I do not want the new formula and I had tried to make sure that what I ordered was old stock.

The last time I looked on the official Redken American site, the customer reviews of the new formula were consistently 1 star out of 5, and that's from people who had been devoted fans of this...

The Holy Grail of shampoos!, 22 Aug. 2014

How have I not discovered this sooner? I'm a total product junkie.... always looking for the next best thing! I've always got at least 3 shampoos/conditioners on the go at any one time & rarely re-purchase the same brand. I have waist length, bleached, naturally curly hair that was starting to get some quite serious breakage due to bleach damage. I looked on Makeupalley.com for a shampoo/conditioning mask (normal conditioner is too weak for my hair) & Redken All soft was getting rave reviews so figured I'd give it a try. I have never in my life (up until now) used a shampoo before that when rinsed out my hair feels that soft that it doesn't even feel like it needs conditioning! I do still condition as I can't get my head around not doing so, but this shampoo is so incredibly moisturising that I can actually get a comb through my hair before I put the conditioner on! Normally after shampooing (before conditioning) my hair feels like parched, tangled straw. With this it feels...

New Formula Is Poor, 1 Jun. 2013

The company bought from delivered promptly. This poor rating is not for them but for the product itself. I have used All Soft for getting on 10 years now. This new formula is aweful. It does not suit my hair. It made it look greasy within 1 week of using it. I did not realize the formula had changed when I bought it. The only critism of the site is that the picture is of the old bottle and not of the new formula bottle so you don't know what you are buying.
