A BEAST of a Hairdryer!!!, 5 Jan. 2014

Ok so I ordered this hair dryer and THEN read the less-than-satisfactionary reviews about it on here. I literally wanted to cancel the order expectingthe hair dryer to be some form of 19th century heavy-stone piece of junk that was not good enough to hold.

HOWEVER, you will all be pleased to know, I used the item the day it arrived and just wow. I turned it on and knew it was a great quality piece of art! It is quite loud but very powerful, dried my hair in minutes, and most importantly made my usually frizzy, impossible to tame mane, exceptionally soft and smooth!! I virtually could not believe my eyes and hands, all i wanted to do was feel my hair (and I did for the rest of the day).

People said its very difficult to hold and the buttons are positioned in the wrong place....I could not disagree more with that. I dont see why people would have to wrap their hand around the whole hair dryer and hold onto it for dear life while blowing air on their hair. C'mon...

I've not used an ionic hairdryer before, mainly because I thought they were a gimmick. I was thrilled to find that ions - whatever they are - actually does make a difference to my rather limp mop. Remington is a brand in a class of its own anyway, so you know you've got a decent dryer when you buy from them, but this one - whatever the keratin therapy involves - makes my hair a lot softer and shinier, without adding static. Other reviewers have said that the dryer is chunky and heavy, but I don't find that a problem, perhaps because I'm used to old, chunky hairdryers. The dryer comes with a diffuser and a couple of more directed nozzles, and the cable was quite long enough for my needs (I don't need to plug it in in the bedroom and dry my hair in the garden shed for example). It has a PROPER 'cold shot', none of that half-warm nonsense I've had from other dryers, and a variety of speeds and temperatures to ensure a versatile dry.A thoroughly good investment.
