This is an excellent product from Remington. While epilators have been around for years, with new technology they have been considerably improved on and this one, for me, has some excellent and useful features. It has a light on the front of it, which really helps my ageing eyesight, especially in those hard to reach places!! The epilator also removes very short hairs, as short as 0.5mm, making it useful for unwanted facial hairs. It has an aloe vera massage cap, which claims to make for a more comfortable epilation. This is difficult for me to evaluate as, having used an epilator for many years, I no longer find it an uncomfortable procedure. This, I think, is an important thing to remember when starting out with epilation. It is painful to start with! Someone I was speaking to compared it to child birth, but I don't think I'd go quite that far! I'll start by being honest; epilators aren't meant to be pain free, but you will become tolerant to it, and will hardly notice it after a few uses.
The biggest points in this epilator's favour is the speed, ease of use, and how well it holds it charge [over an hour]. The tweezers will pick up shorter hairs, no matter which direction they're laying in, and the detail cap that comes with the epilator helps precise hair removal on underarms etc.
The massage cap with aloe vera sounds like a total gimmick, but it actually really does help to reduce redness and soreness after use of the epilator.

There are certain things that are a given when it comes to epilators and epilating:
1. It is going to hurt (or even for those who have built up a tolerance, it's uncomfortable!)
2. It gives great results (occasionally with slight chicken skin for a short period) for good long periods of time
3. It's probably going to be a bit noisy
There are certain things that are preferable when it comes to epilators
1. It's nice if they come with other heads - so that you can make it a shaver/bikini line trimmer
2. It's much better if it is cordless as you don't get tangled up whilst trying to reach already awkward places at the backs of your legs!
3. It's nice if there is something to sooth your skin after the trauma of hairs being ripped out!
