Below par I'm afraid, 18 Aug. 2015

I was fortunate to receive this item today, which is priced at £69.99 on 18th August 2015. Fortunate? Well yes, as I had left my Philips razor at a hotel in Derby and I am awaiting the hotel to return it to me later this week and therefore, rather than break out the Mach 3, this item came in very useful.

So what do you get? Well it is obviously aimed as a present for a golfer and mine came with three Taylormade golf balls, which a friend who is a golfer assures me are not bad, the shaver itself, which is stippled like a gold ball. It came partially charged and so I charged it for a full hour, on the supplied stand using the two pin standard shaver cable. Once charged I gave myself a shave. May I say at this point, that having used Philishave shavers for some years, it does take a couple of weeks for you to accustom your face and skin to a particular razor and I believe that the same will be the case with the Remington; even changing from a Philips to a Philips, I find...

Timely that I had the opportunity to receive one of these as my Philips shaver is getting on a bit.Not sure what the link is between shavers and golf but this set comes with three golf balls. The shaver has a similar texture to a golfball so looks nice. I put it onto charge for 24 hours before usage and found the first shave was uncomfortable. I guessed this might be because it offers a closer shave than my Philips so have used it for 4 days now. Unfortunately it hasn't changed and I still find it uncomfortable, it also misses hairs which my Philips catches. It doesn't really get a closer cut from what I can tell so am bitterly disappointed.I'll stick it out for a bit longer as one thing I liked was it's ease of cleaning and it's beard/side trimmer was really good.£70 for a shaver with some golfballs? Nope.Okay but not worth it at this price.

Won't help with your golf game, but will trim your stubble, 23 Sept. 2015

I generally only dabble in electric shavers when absolutely necessary and when I need maximum convenience. This Remington is well suite to that role. Although not a patch on a proper wet shave, it does a job quickly, efficiently and is easy to use.

The quality of the shave is not bad, I don't think it's up there with Philishaves I have used in the past, but the three rotating heads flex nicely, so it's comfortable and reasonably effective. It can take longer than I would like to get a good shave from the device, but for a quick trim it does a decent job. Charging is good, and you get about 45 minutes out of it once fully charged so if used regularly, the shaver should only need a charge every few days.

The build quality is quite impressive and the shaver itself has a golf ball-like dimpled print on it. The shaver is waterproof, so you can run the heads under the tap to give them a quick clean or use it in the shower (although I have never done that with any...
