Made from padded mesh fabric which allows fresh air to flow in and out of the cot and is easy to breathe through if baby snuggles up close. Keeps all sides of the cot covered, preventing arms and legs from getting caught between the rails and dummies from falling out. I had spent a lot of time looking at cot sets including bumpers and was not comfortable with the fact that they only covered a small portion of the cot. Also I had heard that a number of HV do not recommend cot bumpers due to the risk of suffocation but this product solved both of these problems it fits all the way round the cot so whichever way my daughter moves I know she won't get caught and is very breathable, even looking at the material you can see the holes which will stop the baby from suffocating should they have their face up against it!!!

We have kept this product as it at least somewhat protects our babys head as he crawls around the cot at night banging his head into the rails, however, his arms and legs still get caught between the railings as this prduct is verz lightweght and he can easliy push it down with his hands and feet and get tangled in the railings.

Very effective if overpriced, 6 Jan. 2013

We bought this as we were concerned by our little girl learning to put any part of her body that would fit through the bars on her cot and then screaming the house down when she found out that she was stuck. I was slightly concerned that previous reviews said this was only suitable for cots that have bars all the way round as shown in the pics and would just like to point out that is not the case. I have just fitted this quite easily to my girl's cot bed by passing the wrap wound the outside of the solid ends thus protecting her from her forays between the bars with the proviso that this does not "bumper" the ends of the cot. I found that this is not a problem (yet) as we follow good practice and place baby with feet near one end so her head is in the centre of the cot (i.e. so she can't work her way under her covers - she is very active!).
