Safetots Multi Fit Stair Gate is available in Door & Stair Gates
The Safetots Multi Fit Stair Gate is a screw fitted gate that is ideal for fitting in spaces where a conventional stair gate would not fit. The fittings of the gate can be rotated 180 degrees allowing the gate to be mounted where fitting points are NOT opposite each other, and even on the outside of door frames or banister posts. This safety gate has a two way opening, with the option for the user to select to restrict to one way opening if preferred. It also features a double locking mechanism for extra security. The Safetots Multi Fit Stair Gate can fit spaces between 67cm to 105cm, unless if fitted to outside door frame with fittings rotated 180 degree, maximum width is approximately 100cm. The height of the gate is 73cm PLUS fittings.

Can't fault it. We got this for the top of our stairs to keep our now 10 month old from careering down them whilst the whole family is upstairs either getting bathed or getting ready for bed. She can safely crawl about the landing without fear.
We needed to fix it at a slight angle given the placement of a bedroom door at the top right of our staircase but this gate handled it like a boss. It has two caps that you fix onto it so that it only opens in one direction, ie towards you, so that it can't be accidentally opened onto the staircase itself thus creating a falling hazard.
It's very easy to open, you slide the top of the lock out of position and lift up the entire gate and to close it you simply lift it up, close it and then drop it into position, you don't need to slide the lock to close it, it sorts itself out. The huge bonus is our 2.5 year olds still haven't figured out how it works which was our biggest worry as they've been opening the downstairs gates...
