A must for little ones with eczema, 5 Mar. 2013

I've been a fan of ScratchSleeves for a couple of years (I've just ordered our 9th and 10th pairs). We'd reached a hideous point with our son's eczema; each night he'd scratch his wrists/feet/face raw. He'd become understandably upset and have a poor quality of sleep, or none at all. He'd become impossible to calm, sheets would be flecked with blood. His eczema would become infected and so started the antibiotics, the steroid creams, the weekly doctor's visits to try and remedy it. It seemed that as soon as his skin got better, the cycle would start again. It was really traumatic for Max, and for us as parents - we felt helpless. I stumbled across ScratchSleeves online while hunting for help, and for such a wonderfully simple product, it's hard to put into words the impact they've had. The practical result was that they instantly stopped the night scratching, which in turn led to Max sleeping longer/better at night. We have never since - and touch wood, won't again - needed...

Ordered this in desperation for my 4 year old who would scratch his hands to pieces with his eczema during the night. Took a bit of persuasion and bribery to get it on him the first night, but it made a real differerence and had an instant impact. Our little boy is happy to wear them in bed now and the mitts have been perfect to break the cycle of scratching and picking his hands to shreds. Would definitely recommend. Service was excellent too.

My sons eczema is really bad with him scratching himself to blood. The sleeves do their job minimising scratching, even though he's like Houdini and sometimes manages to get out of them. Great idea though, hope the'll start making bigger sizes for when he grows out of these
