These were a savour for us when our daughter was a baby as she would constantly scratch her eczema until she bled, particularly around her neck. We tried sick son her hands but these were tight and uncomfortable, and as she got older she just pulled them off. These are wonderfully soft on the hands, they are made of silk so even though she still scratched for some relief, she wouldn't break her skin. They were also safe for her to wear in bed, as there is no way they can come off. She also wore them always in the car seat as this was another trigger for her scratching, but there is plenty of room on the back so they at not tight or constrained by them and as the hand area is also quite baggy she was still able to play (albeit with some restrictions) with her hanging toys. I wouldn't say she could grab things though, and once she started to crawl we had to stop using them. Our daughter is one now and we have managed to bring her excema under control and she doesn't scratch as much so...

We looked everywhere for a scratching solution for one of our twin boys (7 mos). We had him wearing socks on his hands at night once he outgrew the baby mitts for newborns. But he soon enough figured out how to pull the socks off and continued to scratch at his poor head. A little scratching while sleeping is usually no big deal, but Leo would tear his head up murder-scene style if we didn't prevent it somehow. He has typical eczema issues, but makes it worse by scratching and tearing up his skin. My wife even said, we need some kind of bolero style jacket with closed arms that he can't take off!
