I wanted a nice wooden mobile for my baby boy but they are all ceiling rather than cot mobiles, which is less than ideal if you rent or have very high ceilings or both. This arm is well worth the money in that it means we can buy several inexpensive wooden ceiling mobiles and switch them around. Much classier than the ugly plastic ones that come with cot attachments.The arm is easy to attach to the cot, there is a padded bit so that the clamp part doesn't damage the actual cot. It affixes securely. It's very simple to hang the mobile safely on the end, you can swivel the arm so the mobile is out of the way when you pick up and put down your baby. You can also tilt the mobile so it's in reach during the day for supervised play and out of reach at night.I think it's brilliant but a shame that it only comes in one finish.

disappointing, 3 July 2012

Very pleased at first. then the screw went through the round part shortly after we installed it. and last week the elastic that maintained the adjustable part at the top snapped. Im just happy the baby wasn't in the cot at the time. very disappointing as i looked in many places for a wooden cot arm and it looked really nice when it first arrived. now after just 4 months i ve put it in the bin.

Lovely item but not very practical, 16 Jun. 2014

It's solid and handily exactly the same shade as my cot... But it's not very high so would only be able to hand a small mobile and the actual clip is VERY narrow! I have a standard cot, nothing chunky and it wouldn't clip to the head, foot or sides. The only place I could get it to clip was the bars on the side of the cot.I haven't decided whether to send it back or try to adapt it so that it fits...
