We bought 4 of these bibs when our eldest daughter was 6 months old in preparation for starting baby-led weaning, as they were recommended by a friend. They have been absolutely brilliant, and are still going strong and she has just turned two. We have now progressed to scoop bibs for her, as she is a lot less messy but this is ideal, as her younger sister will be starting baby-led weaning in 5 weeks, so we will be using them again for her. They have washed really well under heavy food bombardment and are the only bibs we have that are unstained. They dry really quickly on an airer, but can also be tumble-dried in a bb emergency! We have had no problems with the material on the inside of the bib wearing - suggest this user may have been tumble-drying on hot rather than a lower setting, as instructed? These bibs are a lifesaver for a mother with a very messy child!!! They wash up really well which is great because they get washed after every use!!! They don't stain unlike my normal bibs which is also a big plus!Only critism would be that food still gets on my little ones legs because it isn't very long but where is does cover it really works!Little tip - I put the bib on after my LO is strapped in his high chair which means the straps stay clean too :)

Good for baby-led weaning, 6 Mar. 2011

I have bought a few of these bibs in different colour combinations for my baby who has just started baby-led weaning (ie we have started with finger foods rather than purees). These bibs help keep his arms and upper body clean without impeding his movement and I like the choice of different colours too. They wash well and dry quickly which is good because he is a messy eater and they need washing after every meal! I felt that the more 'traditional' bibs with a bit to catch the food restricted his movement. Size medium fits my fairly large 6-month old and the neck has two poppers (on the tightest setting at the moment). I have given 4 stars because I think these bibs would be better if they had a tie around the waist to keep the bib closer to the baby's body but it's still the best bib I have found so far for messy eating and a younger baby (rather than toddler, eg similar bibs from Ikea are too big).
