Amazing product, just a little elasticated cover that really does prevent babies from getting their socks off. They work a bit like a pressure bandage so not a great idea to let your baby sleep in them. They are available in several different colours and two sizes (0-6 months and 6-12 months).I have 5 or 6 pairs but to be honest they can be washed in the bathroom sink with soap and water and air dried about an hour later so this is probably overkill....two pairs are more than ample, but for the bargain price, who cares, a wider choice of colours is so much more fun.These would be a great present for any new baby. My only complaint is that they are currently not available in a see-through variety, so if your baby has a pair of socks with a particularly adorable design it does get covered up. Pssst...these things are £6-odd in Mothercare!!!!! :0

If you are expecting a baby, or looking to buy a gift for a new baby, you really can't go wrong with sock-ons...there is literally no point in putting socks on a baby without a pair of these! It was unfortunate for me that I didn't discover them until my daughter was around 5 months old. She was born in winter and had to live in tights because I couldn't find a way to get all the dinky, adorable little socks she had been bought to stay on her feet. It's amazing how such a seemingly immobile little person can wiggle their way out of a pair of socks, but they can't shift them if they have sock-ons! They work a bit like a sports bandage/anti-DVT stockings, and you do have to be careful that you buy the right size/buy the next size up when required otherwise they can dig in, but they really are great. You can buy 2 sizes in a wide choice of colours and they are very affordable. Also, if baby gets them covered in food they can be washed with a bar of soap, rinsed in the sink and air-dried...

I bought these in the 0-6m size & now in the 6-12m size for my Son, he is the master of removing and losing socks! Sock-ons mean this doesn't happen, they can even be used over the feet of sleepsuits to keep little toes where they should be. Some people have commented that they are fiddly to put on but to be honest I only found them as fiddly as putting a wriggly baby's socks on anyway! The range of colours in the bigger size is brilliant!
