These baby shoes are made from soft leather and have suede soles with elasticated ankles so they fit really well and don't keep falling off. With non-slip suede soles, they are ideal for wooden and laminate floors. All shoes come presented in an organza drawstring bag. All of Dotty Fish leather is chrome free and is tested at a laboratory before the shoes are made to ensure that the leather is safe from any nasty chemicals. All leather passes the British Standard BS EN 71-3:1995. It is best to spot clean the shoes with a damp sponge or a baby wipe. The suede soles can be brushed up with a suede brush. It is best to brush the suede slippers with a suede brush, this will loosen surface dirt and brush up the pile. Some of our customers have put them in the washing machine and say they come out fine but we can't recommend this! After all - they are a leather/ suede shoe and we wouldn't put ours in the washing machine! If you did do this I can imagine that the leather would be a bit stiff once dried out, but I guess it would soften up with wear. There could also be colour loss - so only do this at your own risk! Measuring Information: Press your child's foot lightly on a sheet of paper and draw a line at the heel and longest toe. Measure both feet making sure that toes aren't curled up. The distance between the heel and toe indicates the length of your child's foot. Take the measurement of the largest foot. Allow an extra 1cm for growth and to ensure the shoes are comfortable!
