I bought this item as I wanted to play my baby classical and spa type relaxation music. The baby in theory then associate this sort of music with the safety and comfort of the womb so once born and upset, playing the music to the baby should relax the baby as if in womb. We'll see if the theory pans out.

The product is very well made and so comfortable around the belly with it's thin stretchy fabric. There is a pocket to the front of the band where the connection cord is situated and is connected to the speakers that form a thin horizontal strip to the lower part of the belly. The cord can then be connected to most devices such as an ipod and I use my mobile phone that contain most of the music anyway. My phone and most devices fit comfortably in the pocket easily to be carried. You also receive a jack so you can listen to the music with your baby. I haven't done this as I use the device while watching TV for example and when my baby is very active and kicking me...
