This may seem like a unessary accessary to a spectra 3 breast pump but it certanly did the job for me.In the first few weeks of your new babys life it is very exausting. When i was using my breast pump i nodded off for a few seconds, droped the breast shield with milk in it.The back flow valve did its job gave me time to pick up the bottle and turn off the machine before it could be damaged.

Prompt delivery, fits well, 23 July 2012
Easy to fit - does as it says on the packet. However, i would prefer that it was supplied with the machine and pay a little extra for the pump.

Won't recommend it, 18 Feb. 2015
Bought this item as I read that it was needed to prevent the milk to go inside the machine, it actually slows down the pump movements and makes it even harder to express. Without it the machine works perfectly! I've had the machine for 8 months now and never needed to use the backflow filter, think it was a waist of money!
