This is the ship I was probably most excited of all to put on the table. The sheer mythos surrounding both Slave I and its owner is enough before we get to the fact that this is a straight-up *powerful* ship to be popping down on your 3' x 3' battlefield. Slave I introduces a raft of new cards and mechanics to the X-Wing game even after we acknowledge its 'large ship' status (albeit not so 'large' with the announcement of the 'epic' ships).

Weapons are the watchword with Slave I, which can mount missiles, turret weapons and crew as well as the included upgrade cards. In a lovely nod to the EU, not only does Boba Fett feature as a pilot, but Krassis Trelix and Kath Scarlet, other notable Firespray pilots in the EU, do too. Some players have even taken to painting their models accordingly, though this model comes in Boba's colour scheme. Thankfully, we're spared any New Trilogy crossovers - Jango Fett is absent. One can only imagine his card would have read "Action: Yell 'git...

Well worth buying, 11 Jun. 2013
I have only managed to play a couple of skirmishes with the Slave 1, yet both times were extremely fun, more so than any of the other expansions I've played with so far.The different pilots and extras can be combined so many ways to make an effective and tactical miniature in any scenario.I also found slave 1 to be very detailed and beautiful to admire on the tabletop. Not only that but well made and sturdy which was my main fear due to its size and for a mere £23 I definitely don't feel ripped off and recommend that if you are looking to expand your squad this is an essential.

Fantastic!, 3 April 2016
Firstly the model itself is impressive. Highly detailed and to scale with the other x-wing ships. This is the first 'large' ship I've brought and it was fun using in battle. The ability to shoot backwards was really handy, it caught my opponents out a few times too. It made it much easier to stay out of people's firing arcs while keeping them in yours.I am looking at getting the 'most wanted' expansion, I'm interested to see what scum and villainy versions of this ship can do.Overall, impressive ship. A fair amount of upgrade cards too which will really enhance basic game play. A must for any fan. Plus what Star Wars fan wouldn't want to have slave one?
