Very big!When the shade arrived it comes in a circular package about a foot in diameter which is compact and easy to store. Unfold this, however, and it reveals an oval shade about three feet in length.Several attachment points give tons of versatility and security. You can adjust how far forwards you want the shade simply by re-tying the straps. This is a little bit fiddly but what can be expected of a universal shade?We are very happy with the secureness of the shade once in place - our little man can stay in the shade and still peek out at all the sights. I've added some images so you can see what I mean.

Misrepresented product, 1 Aug. 2012

I bought this product because I was going on holiday and needed a shade that would fit a buggy that didn't have an existing canopy. After battling with a parasol, I was pleased to find this product. In the Amazon description AND on the packaging, it clearly states "Can be used on buggies with no canopy". It seemed like the perfect solution.

Unfortunately it was a waste of money.

When I opened the sun canopy (on holiday) I discovered the instructions which state the OPPOSITE to the packaging, that it CANNOT be used on a buggy without a canopy. Clearly this is a bad case of misrepresentation on the part of the manufacturer. The shade isn't suitable unless you have a canopy, because it isn't rigid enough to maintain shape on its own and the attachments aren't secure enough to keep it in place easily.

Don't believe the packaging information, or the product description that the manufacturers have supplied Amazon with. If you don't have a buggy with a...

I wish I had read all the previous reviews before buying this, because I wouldn't have bought it if I had. The description stated that it would work on a buggy with no existing hood, but it doesn't. It's far too soft and floppy. It would be perfect with an existing hood, but it was a total waste of money because I was too late trying it out to be able to return it. Very disappointed as I thought it was the perfect solution. I'll know better next time and make sure to read all reviews.
