TOMY Bath Toys Fountain Rocket is available in Rockers & Ride-ons

The Fountain Rocket from TOMY turns any bath time into play time, thanks to its magical wake of water. Dip the rocket under water and watch it fill up. You can trace the level by seeing what the stowaway starfish is up to. He'll stay level with the water so you can check the level as it rises (and when it empties again). Then, when everyone is ready, hold your Fountain Rocket up high and see how the water flows beautifully in a dome shape. Try it in the bath, in the pool or by the sea. It's a novel way to shower, a great way to cool down on a hot day and a wonderful way to get little ones used to getting their hair wet! No batteries required. Suitable for ages 12 months and over.

Simple but brilliant splashy fun, 13 Sept. 2015

This is a lovely bath toy which is a bit different from the norm. You fill the rocket then lift it up creating a shower of water from the bottom, which sprays out in a dome. The yellow fins at the bottom of the rocket are nice and soft and the toy feels well made and sturdy.

As some other reviewers have said, it is a bit heavy when full for the youngest children to lift, but our 2.5 yr old has no problems, and you could just filll it a little anyway. We heave had to have a few reminders about not letting the water go everywhere, as it is quite splashy, but threats of removing the rocket have solved this!

I like any bath toys that build water confidence and this is a fun way to practice getting faces wet and splashed, the product photos show it being used in a paddling pool too which would be perfect for the summer. If you have a reluctant hair washer it may be a good way to make this more fun, as there is plenty of water to rinse bubbles away in just a few...

A simply but delightful toy, 4 Oct. 2015
This is a simple but delightful bath toy, which sprays a domed sheet of water out of its exhaust pipe after scooping it full of water and raising it out of the bath. The spray only lasts about 6 seconds, but my 24-month-old son still found this sufficient time to fill a cup from the output. He was fascinated by the rocket and spent a good 15 minutes or so of his bath-time playing with it. His 4-year-old sisters also enjoyed it, but weren't quite as entranced. My mother-in-law's comment was "is that all it does?", but I think this was a bit harsh: the joy of this toy is that it isn't an all-singing, all-dancing battery-powered marvel, but a simple toy that can teach basic concepts of gravity and fluid mechanics, as well as getting a young child used to having its hair and face washed.

Tremendous rockety bath-time fun for tots!, 28 Sept. 2015

Our two grandchildren (ages 1 and 3) absolutely love this! It’s a big bath toy, which offers a lot of fun for not much money. It’s a bright rocket which, when filled with water and held up, produces a whoosh of water that gives the impression the rocket really is taking off. It’s simple and dynamic, and provides a great alternative to the shower-head when it comes to washing hair and generally rinsing off soapy suds.

Our two grand-tots found this toy lots of fun, but it really does need supervised play for two reasons. First, the rocket is quite heavy when full of water, so a grown-up’s helping hand is likely to be required. Second, if the rocket is full of water and ends up on the bathroom floor, you’ll have quite a puddle to mop up in a hurry.

The rocket is colourful, and made with squashy parts that encourage tots to grab hold it and engage with it immediately. It is solidly made and, so far, has withstood all the chewing, bashing...
