This camera is so easy to setup, just plug it in, download the setup program by following the prompts and it's done after you've entered a few passwords, and you have easy access via the webpage to instructions for use.
Download the camera app to your laptop and you're soon recording, no issues, no fuss, it just does it. You can also easily install the app on to a smartphone by entering your username and password and you can watch what is happening in your home whilst on the move. We had fun watching what our new kitten was getting up to while we were out. The only flaw with this is that if you use it in this way it uses masses of data, so I personally did not use this feature after the first initial curious look. But it is really simple to set up.

This is a a camera of two halves. Two times two, actually. In some respects it's very good, in others not. It's easy to set up, but also awkward. Let's take a closer look:
Following the printed instructions included in the package and using my Android tablet, initial set-up was just about as straightforward as it could be. Plug the camera into a power outlet (TP-Link provide a handy extension power lead) and connect it to a spare Ethernet port on your network (there's a short Cat 5 cable in the box). Then download the tpCamera app from the Play Store (there is an IOS equivalent). The app finds the camera and lets you input your Wi-Fi network's SSD and password. Up it comes, and off you go. You can also sign up for a TP-Link Cloud account which allows you to view the camera remotely. The camera boots up in 25 seconds - pretty good. It can relay sound from its built-in microphone although, like other IP cameras I have tried, the quality is distinctly robotic.

This is a basic web based camera - but then it is a basic price.
Main advantages:
- Cheap to buy
- Easy to set up using android or IOS phone - and app is easy to use to monitor on the move
- Can configure via PC to enable motion alerts
- Picture is acceptable in day light and won't take huge amount of bandwidth
- Includes sound
- Small and neat with a range of mounting options
- Includes power extension cable and cable to connect to router for set up
- Can also be used as a wifi range extender - but it is an either or option
- Stores on to free cloud account
- Can switch led off
Main disadvantages
- No infra red - so no time vision
- Picture is poor in low light
- Sound is pretty limited
Overall this is a bit of a bargain - but the functionality is limited. You might need to spend a bit more to get better quality picture and night vision. But if this suits your need and budget, then buy...
