Cute Owl Sleepy Pal - there's also a Mouse or a Donkey, which also look great!, 6 Sept. 2015

We are big fans of Taf Toys, having only discovered them earlier this year - all of their products seem to be bright and colourful without being garish and they have quite quirky characters, which hint at their French heritage.

This is one of three Sleepy Pals available in this range - there is Owl, Mouse and Donkey and each of them looks lovely, but our family loves owls and so we have particularly taken this little one to our hearts!

I like a number of special features about this musical toy:

1. I like that you can use the Velcro tab to attach it to the cot at home, but it can be taken away from home and attached to something else to keep that familiar face nearby.

2. I like the selection of music and sounds - some for calming moments and others for play (you can set which you want!) There is nothing too jarring, even when you have heard the same music over and over (although each parent will of course have their own limits!!)...

disappointing, 15 Sept. 2015

This is a cute looking/feeling developmental toy, roughly 5.5" x 10" but I'm afraid it's mainly a disappointment for a couple of reasons; the first being that it is faulty. This product is supposedly designed to be operated in two ways; either by pressing the domed nightlight or by pulling the teether's string - but mine doesn't work, whether you tug the string either gently or firmly, all that happens is a slight click sound is heard but nothing else happens; there are no musical sounds, and no light, and yes, the 3x AA batteries (not supplied) are inserted correctly.

The second reason for disappointment is the light itself can still be activated by pressing the plastic dome, however, but it is far too bright. I have a darkened bedroom, I use blackout blinds, but when I switch on this nightlight I can read the text on my shopping receipt and for a nightlight, that's simply too bright. There's a button on the back of the toy that allows the user to select between high and...

Taf Toys Musical Sleepy Owl Pal, 15 Sept. 2015

I have had and tested quite a few Taf Toys now and they have all been of a brilliant design and fantastic quality and this Musical Sleepy Owl Pal is no different and Taf Toys has grown to be a brand that we really love in our home.

Taf Toys has a similar design across the range which whilst on first impression may seem a bit quirky, but they are really so nice, bright, colourful and fun once you get used to them and see a few of their gorgeous toys and I love their designs.

The Musical Sleepy Pal Owl is made in neutral colours and so would be a perfect toy for either a boy or a girl and indeed a present for a Mum to Be if they haven't decided to find out the gender of their baby. The Owl can be attached to the side of a cot and is activated by your baby either pulling the teether cord or pressing the button. The Owl has a light up function along with melody functions and is a gorgeous little cot toy that can either be used in the daytime or nighttime by...
