This is absolutely beautiful and looks perfect in my little princess's bedroom, it'll probably do her until she's around 4/5 years old size wise but i know she'll love it always, it is a sure fire winner with her, she loves sitting on it to read and sitting on it like a horse and pretending to ride it - lots of imaginative play to be had and easy to assemble. My only gripe is the coat rack isn't overly useul as when there are clothes hung on it my daughter just removes them because they get in the way of her sitting down and she doesn't want clothes hanging off her 'real pet horse'!!A great, fun, beautiful stool nonetheless, recommedned highly.

A big hit as a toy, but not quite nice enough as a chair, 3 July 2014

This giraffe chair has been a big hit with our two-year-old. Of course she'd rather clamber on it than sit quietly on it- we should've seen that coming really. Every day she is standing on the chair and using the coathooks like handlebars- obviously not what it was intended for, but a big hit nevertheless.

We've warned our daughter not to wobble the giraffe's neck too much because it might break. In practice it actually seems quite sturdy (probably a 7 out of 10 for sturdiness) but we've tried to discourage treating it like a toy, just in case.

As a seat, though, I can imagine it might not be that comfortable. We've put a little cushion on ours, because as a flat wooden seat (without any attempt to make it child's-bum-shaped) and a stiff unforgiving wooden back at 90 degrees, it's not a seat that I'd like to sit on for any length of time. It's more like a puritanical church pew than like a comfy chair.

Gorgeous gorgeous. Our little boy loves it. Encourages him to "sit" so that we can take his shoes off and put his slippers on :-). He actually even asks for it!! Lovely piece of furniture. Only slight issue is that there is a little wobble from the legs once it is made, but we kept it as it was so lovely and our little man loves it!!
