using it is simple, just point to what you want to test and press scan and within seconds you have your result! i have compared the readings against a braun thermoscan and they are the same! so very, very accurate for us.

This is a really useful and easy to use sensor and thermometer. It is designed primarily as a non-contact thermometer for babies and infants but in fact you can use it for a range of other uses as well such as checking milk or bathwater temperatures.
It comes in a nice presentation box and comes with a drawstring bag that is used for storing it when not in use. In the box you get the thermometer itself, two AAA batteries and an instruction sheet. All you have to do is insert the batteries, turn the thermometer on and you are ready to go. You also get 2 fever patches as a bonus which, when applied are meant to reduce a temperature.
To use the thermometer you just point it at the target (for example the baby’s forehead) press scan and the screen gives you the temperature. I would say the delay is less than a second. If a fever or raised temperature is detected then an alarm sounds and the display glows red. If no fever is detected you get a nice bright green...

A day after ordering this thermometer it arrived so that was a very good start!. The thermometer it self comes with a pair of AAA batteries to get you started, a detailed instruction booklet, the thermometer itself and what I thought was a lovely touch - 2 x fever cooling patches :-)
If I'm honest, I didn't actually read the instruction booklet and the thermometer itself is very intuitive. I place the batteries in the thermometer, flicked the switch on the side to body mode and pointed it to my forehead and pressed the scan button, within a few seconds it displayed my temp as being 36.9C. To make sure it wasn't going to change, I tried the same test a number of times and the temperature stayed the same. I've had thermometers in the past which have varied in their read outs in quick succession but not with this one.
Next I tried the object mode to check the ambient room temperature and again within a few seconds 21.2C was displayed. To verify this, I checked...
