I bought this while recovering from an infection and realising that I had no clinical thermometer in the house. Thermometers have moved on from the mercury-in-glass type that my mother used to place under my tongue before waiting ages to pronounce me unwell! This infrared measuring thermometer works in seconds, is easy to read, accurate and simplicity itself to use. It confirmed the readings that my doctor had made on a visit to his surgery using a similar type of instrument, so I am happy to put my faith in its accuracy.

Very handy gadget...accurate and easy to read..., 22 Oct. 2015

So far so good. I received this thermometer today and tested it...the instruction on putting the probe cover is easy and clear. It comes with its own battery and the protective hard storage case is very handy and useful to keep everything in one place.

I like the fact that it can read in both Celsius and Fahrenheit as I prefer Celsius and the blue back lit digital display screen makes it easy to read and as it auto power off after a minute it won't drain the battery if one forgot to turn it off. True enough it takes one's temperature in a second hence. I took my temp twice today, one when I received it this morning and one when I got home a few moments ago and I found it has stored both readings so I can actually compare my temp from the last time I took it.

It's very handy and lightweight. Size is just about ok and can be carried in a bigger size bag. I'm very happy with this purchase as I believe every household should have one of these.

I am extremely pleased with this product, as a health care professional I have used equipment like this at work, I have found some to be large and bulky and difficult to manoeuvre when holding a sick child. This product is the exception. I was unlucky enough to have my 3 year old very poorly with a virus that had effected his ears, nose, throat and head which made his temperature increase significantly. He was very distressed and thrashing about which as you can image made it very difficult to get this temperature using a normal thermometer either on his head or in his mouth. I was able to use this product quickly efficiently and with little intrusion into my 3 year old ears which were very painful. I was able to relay the information to the doctor and I was able to monitor his temperature during the next few hours as the thermometer held the information for comparison.
