Cheap Utilitarian T-Shirt, 25 Feb. 2014

I work outdoors, however I am required to wear a company short sleeved t-shirt. In the winter this makes things very chilly indeed! However they allow you to wear a plain black item below this

Therefore I was looking to invest in a cheap item that wouldn't be seen anyway, so I purchased this item.

When I was growing up I stayed near a Fruit of the Loom factory retailer so I was well aware of the brand. They did items from the very cheap and basic quality up to the very expensive and outstanding quality. However like most fashion brands (remember Kappa, Burberry etc?), they fell by the wayside and now only really do cheap basic clothing. However this is not a criticism - stick to what you are good at and you will flourish.

This item is of cheap thin material and won't win any awards for quality or design, however I am happy with this as that is what I paid for. If I had wanted a good thick, quality t-shirt I would have expected to pay...

I love this shirt sooooo much. I didnt buy this for a particular purpose, i just like baggy shirts and i wear black all the time, and it was cheap. Usually i'm a womans size 10, but i like my clothes baggy, so here i got a mens large and it was exactly what i was looking for. I bought the same thing in a baseball top from a different seller and it is equally as good. Amazing price, quality is not too bad, and i'd say buy a size up, i know this from previous fruit of the loom purchases. I've had a medium of this and it fit me fine, but it wasn't as baggy as what i had hoped, so i went for a size up again. Definatly recommend!!

Fruit of the Loom - Not as good as they used to be, 1 July 2014

Quick delivery by the supplier so was pleased with that.However no bad comment with the supplier of the item but aimed at the manufacture... it's okay but could be better.Nothing to write home about, but as one other commentor on here I do agree that Fruit of the loom used to be quality clothing years ago, but it's not what it used to be.Depending on the garment will depend on the quality you're looking for at the end of the day. For the price it's what I was expecting. It's not a thick material item so if you were to catch the sleeves on something I expect it would tear without too much trouble!!If you want better quality then don't buy Fruit of the Loom stuff. If you're after something cheap to make do and don't mind if it gets damaged then it'll do.
