These are perfect for weaning your baby from the very beginning as they have soft flexible tips. Softer on their gums and slightly better when they accidentally jab themselves in the eye. The long handle is great for little hands to get hold of. I used these with both my children from around 5/6 months. I bought some extras for my second baby as I liked them so much first time round, but the original ones are still going strong and have survived a lot of dishwashing and a fair amount of chewing on. (Come to think of it I did throw one out which had a clear spoon end as it got all tomato stained and looked pretty horrible by the end, but the coloured ones survived a lot better - and the colours are nice).
