A well made cute little toy.Attractive bright colours, a cute little tune, a propeller that moves as it is flown through the air, counts as he flies and wheels to roll along the floor too.My only concern is that is is very tempting for little ones to make him actually "fly" so you really need to watch it doesn't get launched during play because he is quite a hard plastic and will hurt if he hits someone during one of his loop the loops.

This is a well-constructed and nicely thought-out toy. What you, or rather your 18 month (or plus) toddler gets is a brightly decorated aeroplane with a cute little elephant as the pilot. It requires three AAA batteries that are thankfully supplied. As a by the by it is worth noting that TOMY has an ethos of thoughtful playtime needs of the child and thus try to provide well-designed toys that ensure, what they call 'Kid-Powered' play - well that's the blurb anyway! This toy encourages motion and tries to ensure that a child gets familiar with numbers. As the propeller goes around (which is rather slow) and as in play makes the plane loop do loop, an audible voice tells you how many loops you have done up to the count of ten. That said, on occasions it is less audible. A toy that well made and it 'tries' to convey a counting action to familiarizes an association with numbers . This is a good toy that should hold, a childs'. interest for awhile.

Bright colourful and solid, 21 Nov. 2014
The Tomy Counting with Luke the Loop seems to be a well constructed toy which is bright and colourful. It is sturdy and I would have thought would be unlikely to break. The toy itself is a good sized plane, with a cute elephant as pilot. As the plane is moved / flown around the room it plays music and counts the loops up to ten. In reality, the child doesn't have to do proper loops to make it count - it seems to be more movement based. When the plane is put down it makes a noise as though it is landing and stops the music and counting. The toy has a convenient handle for the child to hold onto whilst flying it about.I quite like this toy, but it hasn't held the attention of my child as well as I would have hoped. She is just 2 years old - her concentration can be quite good with some toys, but not so far with this one. I'm assuming it's personal preference as opposed to anything wrong with the toy though!
