Not for me after all..., 20 Sept. 2012

I started going grey in my early twenties and now, at over 40, I would say that approx 50-60% of my hair is white with the remainder an evenly spread dark brown. It therefore wasn't a difficult choice in going for the dark brown T45 option.

I still have a full head of hair and I didn't want that typical dyed hair look. It was a little scary after the first application as my hair just looked jet black. Once rinsed though, I was happy with the result and it was kind of what I'd hoped for, me but with slightly darker hair. So subtle in fact that none of my family commented and I felt a little younger looking.

After three or four weeks of daily washing, the white hairs, which had turned dark brown, began to slowly change to an unnatural yellowy shade. I bought more T45 and reapplied. Again I was happy with the result but my hair was noticeably darker so I had a haircut and this seemed to help. Within another few weeks the colour started to look strage again. A yellow...

Its perfect. Not too dark, so no one notices that I put on the colour. The only drawback is the comb which I find very difficult to use on the sides, where hair is short. Instead I use an old tooth brush. I have now used this product for almost 2 years.

Look 50 shades may be very popular now but its not for me! This product consists of a tube of dye, a comb that screws on the top, plastic gloves and instructions. The product is clear until it is exposed to the air so be very careful with splashes or droplets as they are not always obvious but will stain anything they come in contact with unless removed quickly. You comb the product through your hair, wait 5 minutes then rinse it off. Results for me have been great, my hair is darker but the effect is subtle with even my wife not noticing until I pointed it out (unless everyone is talking behind my back if course)! Lasts well, is odour free and once rinsed and washed does not come off on towels or pillows.
