I see a lot of complaints about smell - but that's really only when it's open. This is not really an issue, as there's no indication that it twists bags like its rivals, and when closed it certainly keeps the stink of dirty nappies away. While a bit expensive compared to other bins, you have to bear in mind you can use ANY bag with this, which means over its life - if you plan to have more than one kid - it'll make its money back. It's big too, spacious and roomy and the red one we bought actually brightens the bathroom up. No complaints.
