Doesn't really fit on my freezer. also my 2 year old can give it a yank and it comes off from the adhesive pad.

Works well for what it was designed for. Although the side of my fridge/freezer is slightly rounded and I had to pad out with extra padded double sided foam/tape to get it flush. I actually bought it as our fridge/freezer has a fault with the door seal. This way it MUST be shut/locked before anyone walks away. (Hoping the plastic is tough and lasts several months.)

No idea if it works for kids, but I can tell you it's very effective for keeping two greedy cats out of my fridge - apart from when next door neighbour is too thick to work out how to use child lock after giving them chicken when I'm on holiday - then they get in - apart from that - awesome!
