Good cheap monitor that works brilliantly!, 19 Aug. 2016

Update (14/02/17):

==============

We've now had the baby monitor for over a year and it's still going strong. The battery still lasts well and everything is still as good as it always was. I'd still buy this again without hesitation. However, now we have a toddler I have some additional thoughts.

When my daughter wakes up she will often sit and play with her toys... this is transmitted quite clearly. It's lovely to listen to her playing on her own.

Once she wants to get up she'll stand in her cot, rattle the side and say "mummy" or "daddy" repeatedly until someone comes. That's ideal for this monitor, but as said in the original review it might be an issue if you're child doesn't call repeatedly.

In 12 months we've had no issues of missing a call or the unit not working. It always connects to the baby unit very quickly.

We've taken the unit away with us to family and to B&Bs, and the like, and even in larger...

Can do better for your money. A few irritating issues., 6 Jun. 2017

This is an average basic monitor, it works ok, but to be honest you can get better ones for a similar price.

The main issues are that it can sometimes lose signal and beep sporadically (even when the baby is in the room next door) which is not ideal if you're trying to catch up on some much needed sleep and it wakes you up.

Additionally, as others have written, there is a slight delay on the receiver unit so I can hear my baby cry upstairs before it comes through. Not a massive issue but one to be aware of.

Also, you can't hear anything at all unless the baby has made a noise. This is unlike our BT monitor where if you put your ear to it and turn it up you can hear the baby breathing which can be reassuring if they have been asleep for longer than usual and you are wondering if they are ok, but don't want to risk going into their room and disturbing them!

The unit itself just feels plasticky, light and, to be honest, cheap. The chargers don't feel like they...

Exactly what I expect from a baby monitor, 8 Oct. 2016
Works well, good range and good sensitivity. Quickly synchronises, parent module is very loud on high settings and can be set to 0 (only beep).Easy to use and easy to remember that both modules need to show green light = all working.I confirm there is 1 second lag when baby starts crying until the parents module plays it. I don't find it a problem, as this second does not really make any difference.Included batteries have small capacity, and thankfully those are standard AAA rechargeable batteries (one of reason I bought this product).
