Excellent Interactive Teddy Packed With Personalisation Features, 23 Aug. 2015

Wasn't sure whether to opt for the VTech Cora (which I hadn't experienced before) or the Leapfrog Violet (which my 4 year old has had for 3 years) for my 6 month old. But in the end I decided on the Cora so that their bears would be easily distinguishable - and I have to say, both myself and my 4 year old now wish she had been given a Cora rather than a Violet when she was younger.

The Cora bear is far more endearing for the child since it holds and utilises a great deal more personal information about them (it stores birthdays, special dates, names, friends names, favourite things etc etc) and although the Violet bear does store some information, the range and application of that information is far more restrictive and the bank of pre-recorded names which you can download (so that the bear will use your child's actual name) is far more limited in the Violet bear (for my daughter, it just spells out her name since it wasn't available) - unlike the Cora bear which has both...

Bought as a Christmas present for my 1 year old..very unhappy..The standby button does not work so bear just keeps talking untill you turn it off at the battery pack..

The bear itself has some great functions, but I purchased a Cody for my son from amazon, three replacements later and each has been faulty. The first wouldn't switch off and had an american accent which I didn't mind until receiving the replacements with English accents. The second and third sang for a few seconds then switched themselves off. It seems as if vtech have produced a bad batch as I bought cora for a baby shower gift from ARGOS and she switches herself off as well.
