Not sure how this will pan out over the coming months but it is having use. Needs guidance, obviously, not so much a toy. We got it for just over four pounds which is good value. (Took over three weeks to come from Hong Kong so check the estimated delivery if you need it quick). Son uses sticks to help counting and 2-d shapes. We have only just introduced the operation signs. OK.

Surprised to see it arrived nearer the earlier timelineGreat tool to visual the process of mathsBrightly coloured sticks which helped my 5 year old daughter with engagement and learn smile maths for nowI can see she would be using it for a few years and it is a great introduction to maths!!
