It works. But not that well. It squeaks and is not smooth. The song was not even remotely similar at first. I've had different music boxes before and they're great. This one isn't. However, I managed to fix the sound by adjusting the notes (took around an hour to get just right). Changed the handle from another music box. Put it into a proper box. And oiled it. Only then was it suitable for a gift. If you're willing to put some work into it they have a wide range of songs that aren't found elsewhere. But frankly. Quality is not up to snuff.
