Good quality toys hidden behind 10 little doors, 17 July 2015

This is a good "gender neutral" toy that has space as its central theme, it is based on the Christmas advent calendar and has 10 doors to open to count down to a special day ( the day is not specified on this calendar, so it could be anything at all like a count down until Granny comes to visit or until a broken arm is taken out of plaster etc etc etc).

The toys are

1 x Girl Super Hero Figure,

1 x Boy Super Hero Figure,

2 x Robot Figures,

1 x Speedy Space bike,

2 x Emotion Alien spinner tops,

2 x UFO Spinners,

1 x Sun Awake /Moon Asleep Ball

These are good quality ( Have no fear about them being Christmas cracker quality, these toys are nice ones!) and a great size for little hands to hold and play with. This company doesn't use PVC or dodgy paints to create them and there are no small parts to worry about either.

Space themed countdown calendar, 20 Aug. 2015

This Wow Toys Countdown Calendar is a great idea to help your child understand time in relation to a special event. This calendar can be used to countdown to any event but there are others in the series which are more specific (birthday, holiday, first day at school). The countdown lasts for 10 days and there is a chunky plastic toy behind each door suitable for children 12 months+ and some of the toys fit together to increase play value. There is also a countdown activity sheet with a different task each day such as colouring or spot the difference. This is a nice addition to build anticipation but would only really be of use to children at the older end of the age range (1-5). The calendar is suitable for boys and girls.

The WOW Toys Special Day Countdown Calendar is a lovely idea to help an excited child to count down the days until a special event. It could be counting down to a visit from someone special, a countdown to going holiday, a christening, a birthday, or any other special occasion. The idea is simple, just like an advent calendar.

It is a lovely way to help 'ground' a young child from getting overexcited before a special event. The promise of a new door to open, and a new toy, each day, are sure to bring a smile to your little one's face. Seeing the number of doors left will help your child to understand the time period left until the 'special day'.
